Fun in the post!

Recently, the gods smiled on me and I was first outta the sombrero over at Ms Curly Pops’ blog for a giveaway. Yesterday I checked my mail and a box full o’ booty was waiting for me… Behold!

Thank you thank you! There were buttons hiding in one bag pocket, and vintage rick rack in the other! And luverly fabric, and there was a Milky Bar choccy too but I scoffed that rather quickly.

Today I want to buy a goldfish

In our kitchen we used to have a tank filled with Swordtail fish, catfish and other fun finned friends. Until the great unexplained water poisoning of 2007, which left us with one Swordtail. So I bought lone Swordtail a couple of wee tiddlers to keep her company, and set everyone up in my crystal fruit bowl (sorry Mum).  Swordtail has gone now, and I’m just left with wee tiddlers x2.  So I think I might have to get a goldfish or two to fill the gap so to speak.

This post from this blog (found via Kirsty) reminded me of the simple joys of having a goldfish buddy.
The pic is of Bill, my work Betta, that hung out with me for a couple of years when I worked at Mornington. Alas, he’s gone to the great fishpond in the sky. But he was a cool dude.

By the way, WordPress is irking me. It will not let me upload and insert photos into posts using Internet Explorer (which is the only option I have where I am right now.) Big GRRRR.

PS.  The joys of blogging…world peace? political issues? important writings?  Nope, from me you get “today I want to buy a goldfish”.
