Have ya noticed? There’s a distinct lack of craft on any Drewzelblog right now. I first started my blog in early 2006, just for fun. I was a crap blogger, I hardly posted, didn’t read anyone else’s much and didn’t really care. Then I got really. involved. in. crafting. stuff. Good ol’ craft as therapy. So as I made stuff, I put pics on Flickr, wrote blog posts about it. But now I feel like I done a circle and I’m back to non-crafting posts again. Not because I don’t love craft or don’t make stuff. Because I’m still going strong. But it’s become so ingrained and a part of what I do with my time, that I don’t even consider it remarkable any more. Does this mean the novelty has worn off? Or have I achieved Granny craftdom, where all my friends and family know it’s just something I do, like the gardening, or cuddling doggies? Super-creative types might think I’m stagnating, and not pushing myself to achieve more. But I can say, that with my various exploits (thanks Pip for giving my bags a go, thanks Leeloo for believing in a Bird Mad Girl) I’m in a happy crafting place. And I think that’s quite remarkable.
