This one is the starter for the Tea Towel Tour (my contribution). I put it in the bottom left corner of the towel. Design from Karen’s vintage card here.

I managed to keep up some creative efforts over the weekend, even through I was trying to relax…
Friday I pottered along with some embroidery.
Saturday, I finished my kitty softie, and I made these collage cards for my “Handmade Holiday Swap #2″ partner …they’re sort of non-specific Holiday greeting cards. I also got collage crazy and made a set of 6 greeting cards for my Etsy. Here’s one:
Sunday I attempted to tidy my craft room a bit, made Shuffle cd mixes for 62 Cherry’s latest cd swap, and then went to stitching night at Mike’s in the evening. After wading through lots of cute Japanese craft books, I decided on this design:
It’s actually two cutesy kids on a beach towel eating cake (or pizza or something?) The brown box in the foreground is a gorgeous fold up notebook that Pip gave us all as a gift for coming along. Yay! And am now lusting for some Japanese craft books on embroidery! (argh)
Now I’ve gotta start to organise the Team Craft Tea Towel Tour.
Last night was busy, so I didn’t get a chance to craft until late. What I started was a embroidered tea towel for a chicken lovin’ swap hostess. I used the sewing chicken from Vogart 699 and I plan to add “craft on” to the “wednesday”. I’m not really a big fan of cross stitch, but I’m liking it on this design…and I’m doing the colours like the pattern for some 1950′s goodness.

Last night I couldn’t even consider stitching as my hands were too sore, so I thought I’ll put some more time into the postcard swap that I’m in. So I made 4 more variations on the original theme…according to my list I have to send out 8 postcards, so 2 more to make.
I also made my Pink Christmas ornaments for the swap, and didn’t end up sewing, but rather collaged onto flat brass medallions. They’re about 1″ in diameter and pink and sparkly, but I’m having trouble getting a good pic of them.
Friday #16 – stitched bear panel for a peg bag (pic later) {Bruno the Bear from Aunt Martha’s transfers}
Saturday #17 – attempted to make a stuffie, baked cakes, and embroidered something for me! I ironed some transfers (Vogart flowers and Aunt Martha birdies) onto my European pillowcase and then stitched away for ages.

Sorry about the bad pics, I took them this morning and the bedroom doesn’t get a lot of light.

Sunday #18 – was feeling sick most of the day, and my hands were very sore (own fault, too much stitching.) So did housework, and cut out my kitty for the Mirabel Softies and stitched her face:

I have to applique her onto the backing fabric tonight, and then stitch and stuff her.
Don’t just lurk, say something!
