This is…what makes me happy.

Dog Tired, originally uploaded by NiteLynx.

Lots of things bring me joy : singing along to a perfect song, summer drives by the coast with HP, silliness, discovering a fabulous op-shop find, doing coffee with friends, eating chocolate, sleeping in.

But something that’s always guaranteed to make me happy are The Staffords, aka Ozzy and Lola, my dogs.   HP gets frustrated with them, because they can be such dumb, bumbling, naughty and wilful dogs, and they eat poo, but I adore them.  They always bounce up and down when I get home, are always waggy-tail happy to see me, always up for a cuddle, and are such good souls.

This picture is from Flickr, and is not my dog, but perfectly illustrates the staffie personality.  Such a big smile.

There’s a quote:

"If I have any beliefs about immortality, it is that certain dogs I have known will go to heaven, and very, very few persons."  -James Thurber

…that sums it up for me.

Ta to One Little Acorn for this week’s theme, and Angela for the "this is" fun.

HAHAHA, my staffy eats poo too. Her favourite is possum poo, followed by cat poo, and if she’s feeling particularly cheeky she will even have a go at her own….eeeewwwww, can’t believe I just admitted all that here :P. Luckily as she has gotten older she does it less often. But she is also bouncy and happy and snuggly and just beautiful. Love the quote. Too true!!!
