Hand it over, hand it over

This photo from the Shorpy blog reminded me of Curlypops shopping at Spotlight. Or the Mixtogether girls at Amitie last Saturday. Har har!

You know, I’m thinking adding "read EVERY day" to my list of things to do.  It always makes me happy to read it.  Here’s some lovelies from the 1920’s.

The caption reads: Washington, D.C., 1922. "Food Show. Borden Creamery booth."  National Photo Company Collection glass negative, Library of Congress.

Being aware of the slightly negative tone of my blog posts this week, here’s some cuteness for you. If you haven’t checked out Millie Motts’ blog and Flickr pics, do yourself the proverbial and have a look. Retro goodness ahoy!

I’ve had a fun afternoon scanning some 70’s Dolly mags for my Flickr. If you’d like a job where the men are (!!) check out my photostream to read ’em.

Shorpy cuteness

Over at one of my fave blogs, Shorpy, I thought this pic was especially appealing:

Check it out here.  And this story of the boys’ father was also touching.

Of course, as a crafty type, my eye was drawn to the gorgeous toy cat the littlest boy is holding, I wonder if it came with him from the Titanic, or was a post rescue gift to console him somewhat.  What is it about the Titanic that grabs everyone’s imagination?

C’mon, you know you want to make this!  Hotpants ahoy!
